1. Who we are

Westman Industrial Tools manufactures and exports hand tools and workshop power tools. In this policy, "Westman", "we", "us" refers to the company operating this website, and "you" refers to a visitor, buyer, distributor or business contact. Registered company name, registration number, registered address and data protection contact must be inserted here.

2. What this website collects

This website is a static site. It has no account system, no login, no advertising network and no third-party tracking scripts.

• Enquiry form: if you submit the form, the details you typed are used to prepare and send a quotation.
• Email and telephone: used to answer your enquiry and to manage any resulting order.
• Server logs: the hosting provider may record IP address, browser type and requested page, as is normal for any website.
• External images: some photographs are loaded from a third-party image host, which receives your IP address when the image loads.
• No cookies set by this site: the scripts here do not set cookies or use advertising identifiers.

Note for developers: in the demonstration build the enquiry form validates in the browser only and transmits nothing. Once you connect it to a mail handler or endpoint, this section must describe where the data is actually sent.

Information is shared only where it is necessary to fulfil your order or meet a legal obligation:

• Inspection and testing agencies carrying out third-party checks
• Suppliers of components, packaging and raw material
• Payment and banking institutions processing your payment
• Professional advisers, auditors and regulators where legally required

5. How long we keep it

Enquiry records are kept while the enquiry is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to answer repeat business. Order and shipping records are kept for the period required by tax, customs and commercial law, commonly several years. When information is no longer required it is deleted or anonymised. Retention periods must be confirmed against the rules applying to your registered country.

6. International transfers

Westman exports to many markets, and information about an order may be processed in the country where the goods are delivered or where a service provider is located. Where information crosses borders, it is handled under the safeguards required by applicable law. The legal mechanism used for transfers must be described here once your compliance position is confirmed.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you are based, you may have the right to:

9. Images and third-party content

This website contains photographs and visual material obtained from image search engines and stock photography services, including Google Images results. Some images are loaded from third-party image hosts, which receive your IP address and browser information when those images load. Where material remains loaded from a third-party host, those requests are subject to that provider's own privacy terms.

Images may be protected by copyright held by their original owners. Westman does not own that copyright. See terms and conditions, section 19, for the full position on image rights and the requirement to replace all placeholder photography with owned or licensed material before commercial publication.
